Woman, her daughter rescued, one held
A man, who allegedly abducted a housewife and her daughter on Sunday from Santhia upazila, was arrested from Raksha Bazaar area in Bera upazila Monday night.
The arrestee was identified Nazmul Haque, 38, son of late Jainuddin of Kashinathpur Natunpara village in Santhia upazila.
Police said, acting on secret information, they conducted a drive in the area and arrested Nazmul with the help of local people.
Later, according to his confession, police rescued Mita Khatun, 28, wife of Anisur Rahman and their 4- year-old daughter Odhora from near Mondira cinema hall in Bera upazila.
