Criminal held with arms in Chuadanga
Police arrested a criminal and recovered firearms and ammunition from his possession in Chuadanga on Monday night.
The criminal was identified as Robiul Islam, 43 of Bahadurpur in Pangsha upazila of Rajbari.
According to police, a team from Chuadanga Sadar police raided Uzzalpur field where a group of criminals were holding a secret meeting at around 8:30pm.
Police arrested one of the gang named Rabiul while the rest managed to flee. They recovered one LG and two bullets from him.
Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Chuadanga Sadar Police Station said Rabiul is an accused in at least 12 robbery cases.
He was produced in a Chuadanga court that sent him to jail.
