Jubo League leader stabbed over tender
A Jubo League leader was stabbed by his rival party men over tender in Tangail yesterday.
The injured, Saiful Islam Lavlu, president of Jubo League Sadar upazila unit, was sent to Tangail General Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka as his condition deteriorated, party sources said.
Lavlu's rivals stabbed him while he was going to Tangail Zila Parshad Building to drop a tender.
Later, police rescued Lavlu and sent him to the hospital.
Contacted, Kazi Alid Islam, general secretary of district Jubo League, said he knew nothing about the incident.
