20 injured as AL, BNP men clash
At least 20 people were injured in a clash between the activists of Awami League (AL) and BNP at Chakulia village in Mohammadpur upazila yesterday morning.
Police and locals said the supporters of Awami League leader Abdus Shukur Molla and BNP leader Abdur Rauf Molla clashed over establishing supremacy in the area.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot, dispersed the clashing groups and brought the situation under control.
Of the injured, five were admitted to Magura Sadar Hospital. Later, two of them were shifted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital as there condition deteriorated.
