3 commit 'suicide'
Three people allegedly committed suicide in Kishoreganj and Jhenidah districts yesterday and on Monday.
A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the branch of a tree at Gurui village in Nikli of Kishoreganj yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Martuz Ali, 35, son of Nilu Mia of the village, reports our correspondent.
Police and locals said, the hanging body of Martuz Ali was seen by locals behind his house yesterday morning.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Kishoreganj Adhunik Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
AKM Mahbubul Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Nikli PS said, the cause behind the suicide by Martuz could not be known immediately.
In Jhenidah, two people, including an old woman, allegedly committed suicide in separate incidents in Sadar and Kaliganj upazilas on Monday.

Mondol of village Bamonail in Sadar upazila allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of her house over a family feud at night.
In Kaliganj, Bashir Ahmed, 30, of Mithapukur village allegedly took his life by hanging from the ceiling of his house. Police and family sources said demanding dowry money, Bashir used to torture his wife Sabina since long.
On March 28, he picked up a quarrel with her over the issue and at one stage tortured her mercilessly. Later, Sabina filed a case against her husband with the police.
Family sources said, being afraid of arrest Bashir killed himself at about noon.
