3 commit 'suicide' in Satkhira
Three people including a teenage girl allegedly committed suicide in the district on Saturday and the day before.
The victims were identified as Anjuwara Khatun,13, daughter of Amjad Hossain of Bijoynagar village in Kaliganj upazila, Alal Biswas, 15, son of Badal Biswas of Krishnanagar Dhandia village in Tala upazila and Shahidul Islam, 23, son of Mazid Sardar of Uttar Chapra village in Assassuni upazila.
Quoting locals police said, Anjuwara Khatun, a student of class six of Muragachha High School took poison on Friday morning following a family feud. She died on way to Assassuni health complex.
In the other incident, Shahidul Islam, 23, took poison at his house on Saturday morning. Neighbours took him to a local clinic where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
At Krishnanagar Dhandia village in Tala, Alal Biswas committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom at about 3:00 on Friday.
In Thakurgaon district, body of a domestic help was found hanging from the ceiling of the house of her master at Dakkhin Bothina village in Sadar upazila Friday.
The deceased was identified as Marzina Khatun, 13, daughter of Abdul Motaleb of Kaleswar Adarsha village of the upazila.
Marzina had been working in the house of Khademul Islam for the last three months, sources said.
On Friday, Marzina's father was informed that she had committed suicide.
Morzina's father alleged that his daughter was killed after rape and then hanged to prove that she had committed suicide.
