Housewife commits 'suicide'
A housewife allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house on Friday night. Victim Golapi Rani, 20, was wife of Jagadish Chandra Roy, 25, of Bania Para Itakhola village of Sadar upazila. Jagadish is an employee of a stationary shop in Nilphamari bazaar area. Police and local sources said, the victim, also mother of a nine-month-old child, had a quarrel with her mother-in-law on Friday afternoon. At about 10 pm she went to her room after dinner. At about 12.00, her husband returned home from his workplace and found the room locked from inside. As after long time she did not respond, the husband along with other members of the family broke open the door and found her hanging from the ceiling, dead.
