BCL activist held at RU for stabbing JCD man
Police on Tuesday night arrested an activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Rajshahi University (RU) unit on charge of stabbing a Jatiyatabi Chhatra Dal (JCD) man on the campus on February 8.
The arrestee is Khalid Hasan alias Nayan, a fourth year student of management department of the university. Police said they picked up Nayan from Binopur area at around 11.00pm.
A group of BCL activists led by Nayan, Rocky and Abdus Salam stabbed Ahasanuzzaman, a third year management student on the campus on February 8.
Ahsan was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) with injuries to his chest, stomach and left hand and later shifted to Dhaka. He is now undergoing treatment at Square Hospital.
Police said Nayan is also an accused in Nasirullah Nasim murder case.
