Businessman shot dead
Criminals shot dead a businessman at Damodar village in Fultola upazila Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Zinnah Bhuiyan, 52, owner of a cosmetics shop and son of Jafar Bhuiyan of the village.
Police said Zinnah and his son were returning home from the shop at the upazila headquarters by an auto-rickshaw at about 10:00pm.
When they reached near their house, a gang of criminals intercepted their auto-rickshaw and shot him, leaving him critically injured.
The criminals, however, left the scene by the auto-rickshaw.
Zinnah was rushed to the upazila health complex first and later shifted to Khulna Medical Collage and Hospital where he died after an hour.
