Illegal structures demolished
The district administration demolished 85 unauthorised structures at Kushaldangi bazaar in Baliadangi upazila on Wednesday. Official sources said, a team led by executive magistrate Shafiqul Islam at noon demolished different shops, makeshift houses and other structures, built illegally by locals at the bazaar. Riot police members and local land officials were also present during the drive. The owners were issued with notices by the authorities concerned to remove their illegally constructed structures but they did not pay heed to the notices, sources said.
