Hizb-ut Tawhid man held with leaflets, <i>jihadi books</i>
Police arrested a member of Islamist outfit Hizb-ut Tawhid from Judge Court premises yesterday while he was distributing leaflets and jihadi books inviting people to join jihad (uprising).
Arrestee Moslem Ali, 41, is son of Moksed Ali Mistri of village Dadpur in Debhata upazila.
Quoting eye witnesses police said, the arrestee was distributing leaflets on the court premises and trying to enter the courtroom.
Police recovered six books in cluding 'Dazzal' written by Humayun Khan Panni, the founder of the outfit, besides the CD and the leaflets.
He was produced before the judicial magistrate's court yesterday and the court sent him to jail.
