Poor Performance in JSC Exams
36 schools asked to show cause
The authorities of 36 schools here have been served show-cause notice for their poor performance in junior school certificate (JSC) examinations last year.
Of the schools, 24 are in Patram upazila, six in Aditmari upazila and three each in Kaliganj and Sadar upazilas.
Patgram UNO Harun-or-Rashid on January 30 issued show-cause notice to the chiefs of 24 educational institutions.
The notice termed the results frustrating. It said that pass percentage of JSC exams in the upazila was 39.18 percent while pass percentage in Dinajpur Education Board was 62.66.
The schools were asked to explain as to why the government and the authorities concerned should not scrap the MPO of all the teachers of the institutions for frustrating results.
