20 grenades recovered
Twenty abandon hand grenades were recovered under the soil in Bhairab upazila of the district yesterday. Police and local sources said, some labourers found the grenade in Moheshpur area at around 3:00pm while they were digging soil for construction of a road in the area. On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the grenades and took those to Bhairab police station at 4:00pm. Md Shahjahan Kabir, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhairab PS said the recovered grenades might have been hidden under the soil for decades.
