The speakers demanded immediate cancellation of the lease. Otherwise, they threatened to launch a greater agitation programme to protect the water body. They also urged the government to take necessary steps to protect Dinajpur Rajbari, Boromath, Ramsagar, Anandasagar, Kantanagar Temple, Sukhsagar, Julumsagar, Padma Sagar and Harisagar.
