Human trafficker held
Police arrested an alleged human trafficker from village Jhhapaghat in Kalaroa upazila Saturday night. Arrestee Abdus Samad, 32, is son of Matiar Rahman of village Jhhapaghat. Quoting locals police said, the accused abducted Poly Akhtar, daughter of Md Kamruzzaman of the same village while returning home from school on December 28 last. Later he took her to India and sold her to a brothel there. Victim's father filed a case with Kalaroa PS. Poly later managed to escape from the brothel with the help of another Bangladeshi and returned home on Thursday.
