Temple ornaments stolen
Around six tolas of gold ornaments and Tk 30 thousand in cash were stolen from Satya Narayan temple in Shitalla area of the city on Wednesday night. Hearing the news, Superintendent of Police Afzal Hossain and mayor Dr Selina Hayet Ivy of Narayanganj municipality visited the spot. Source said, on Wednesday night, criminals entered the temple by breaking open the back door of the temple and took away the ornaments from the bodies of goddess and the cash from a box.
