22 houses gutted
Twenty-two houses were gutted in a devastating fire, which broke out at West Boro Shandip in Sadar upazila on Monday night. Local sources said the fire originated from the kitchen of Giasuddin Kotwal's house and soon engulfed the adjoining houses. The affected people estimated the losses caused by the fire at about Tk 50 lakh.
