Madrasa student murdered
Police on Sunday recovered a beheaded body of a madrasah student from the bank of the Dharla River at Pachgachhi union under Kurigram Sadar upazila.
Locals found the body of Kafil Uddin, 14, son of Tayab Ali of North Kadomtola village under Sadar upazila. Police and locals said Kafil, a class-six student of Nayarhat Dakhil Madrasah, went to nearby Shulkur Bazar to recharge his cell phone in the evening on January 17. Since then he was missing.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Kurigram Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Contacted, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadar police station, Md Taharul Islam said they would take action after an investigation.
