Contacted, Commanding Officer (CO) of Rangpur Sector said they lodged protest after every killing by BSF.
He said, “In fact, BSF never allowed anyone on the no-man's land from dusk to dawn. Most of the killings took place at dawn.”
The CO said they several times urged the BSF to arrest the intruders and hand them over to BGF instead of killing.
“Even we urged them to resort to blank fire if anyone tries to cross border. But they hardly pay heed to our call.”
