UP chairman arrested
Police yesterday arrested a union parishad chairman, the main accused in former UP chairman Zillur Rahman murder case, from Bhairabnagar Bazaar in Nabinagar upazila.
Arrestee Humayun Kabir is chairman of Natghar union parishad of the upazila and also BNP leader. He was held while having tea at the Bazar in the morning. Zillur Rahman, also an Awami League leader, was killed in an attack by criminals on October 27, 2009.
