Fire kills one in Chittagong
An elderly woman was killed by fire in Raozan upazila on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Shova Rani Chowdhury,65, wife of Suresh Kumar Chowdhury.
Senior officer of Agrabad fire Station Farid Ahmad Chowdhury said, the fire originated from a stove at Sures Kumar's house at about 12:40 am.
Soon, the fire gutted six thatched houses of Suresh and his five brothers.
As Shova was too aged, she could not come out of her house during fire, said Hathajari Police station officer-in- charge Abul Kalam Azad.
