Gaibandha: Twelve to contest for two mayor posts
In Gabindaganj municipality, Jatiya Party leader Nazmul Huda and Awami League leader Mukitul Rahman Rafi withdrew their candidature for the post of mayor.
Four candidates are now vying for the mayoral post, 46 for councillor posts and 13 for women reserved seats.
Six candidates are contesting for the mayoral post, 35 for councillor posts 10 for women reserved seats in Sunderganj municipal election under Gaibandha district.
In Gaibandha municipality, eight candidates are vying for mayoral post while 60 for councilor 17 for the reserved seats, reports our correspondent.
