College teachers end strike

Teachers and staff of Aditmari Degree College ended their indefinite class boycott after submitting a memo to the prime minister and the ministry concerned yesterday. The teachers and staffs of the college held a protest rally on the college campus yesterday morning. Later they sent the memorandum through Aditmari upazila nirbahi officer (UNO). In the memo, they urged the authorities concerned for taking necessary step against the JP lawmaker from Lalmonirhat-2 constituency after inquiry as soon as possible. The teachers alleged that lawmaker Muzibor Rahman beat up associate professor of marketing department of Aditmari Degree College Reaz Uddin Mintu at the lawmaker's house at Aditmari town in presence of local people at noon on December 15.
