Man murdered by 'wife'
A man was strangled allegedly by his wife and her lover at village Panchnol in Kalaroa upazila Sunday night. Police arrested Shapla Begum, 32 for her alleged involvement in the killing. Victim Nur Mohammad, 42, was son of Abdul Khaleque of the village. Quoting local people police said, Shapla Begum fell in love with Kabir Hossain of the same village two years ago. As Nur Mohammad protested, they threatened him of dire consequences, police said. On the fateful night, Shapla and her lover Kabir Hossain strangled Nur Mohammad. Locals found the body of the victim lying in the room and informed police. Police arrested Shapla but failed to arrest Kabir as he went into hiding.
