Two electrocuted
Two people were electrocuted at village Payari Ditiya Khandha in Phulpur upazila yesterday morning. The victims were identified as Motiur Rahman Moti, 30, son of Fazlul Haque and Miraj Ali, 55, son of late Yakub Ali of the village. Police said, the two went to catch fish at a water body in the village at around 6:30 am. As they were placing their fishing rods in the water, they became electrocuted as snapped electric wire had fallen in the water during heavy rainfall and wind the previous night.
