2 electrocuted in Habiganj, Bagerhat
A young man died from electrocution and three others sustained injuries in Ajmiriganj upazila headquarters on Thursday.
The deceased is Nizamul Mia, 20, and the injured are Rokon Mia, 30, Sumon Mia, 12, and Abidul Mia, 7, of the upazila.
Locals said Nizamul died on the spot and three others sustained injuries when they came in contact with a live electric wire at noon.
The injured were given first aid at a local clinic.
Another report from Bagerhat adds: A woman was electrocuted at Moghia village in Kachua upazila Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Bashanti Rani, 35, wife of Amal Dakua of the village.
Local sources said Bashanti died instantly when she came in contact with a live electric wire at her house during a marriage ceremony.
