3 electrocuted in Natore, B'baria
Three people were electrocuted in Natore and Brahmanbaria districts yesterday and the day before.
A housewife was electrocuted at Kurigram village under Narail municipal area yesterday, reports a correspondent.
The deceased was identified as Suria Sultana, 44, wife of Shabbir Alam of the village and mother of a child.
Witnesses said Suria came in touch with electric wire at her house while she was hanging wet clothes on the wire. She died on the spot at about 9am.
In Brahmanbaria, two people were electrocuted in separate incidents on Saturday, reports UNB.
Sources said Shahana Begum, 32, wife of FM Pathan, of Jagannathpur village in Kasba upazila was electrocuted when she came in contact with a live electric wire at her house.
In another incident, Abul Kalam, 32, was electrocuted at Kalikachechha village in Sarail upazila early Saturday as he touched a live electric wire by mistake while guarding a pond.
