Alleged killer of army man held
Kotwali police on Sunday night arrested one Dulal on charge of killing army man Ahadul Islam.
Police arrested Dulal of Sathgara Mistripara under Sadar upazila from Keramotia mosque area while returning home after shopping at Rangpur municipality market at about 8:00pm.
Officer-in-charge of Kotwali police station Abdur Rashid said Dulal during primary interrogation confessed that he along with one of his accomplices stabbed Ahadul Islam to death and robbed his belongings including money and cell phone.
Police also recovered the cell phone and taka 4,100 from Dulal's house.
Early Sunday army man Ahadul Islam was killed by muggers at Goneshpur area while he was going to his father-in-law's house from Rangpur central bus terminal.
