The incident took place at Munshipara village in Bheramara upazila. Bozlu, husband of Sahinur said his family members always pressed him to divorce Sahinur. But he did not do so as he loved her and their marriage was a happy one for the last 10 years. “My family members always blamed Sahinur for not being a mother and provoked me to leave her,” Bozlu told journalists at Kushtia General Hospital morgue yesterday. According to Bozlu, he went to his workplace at Daulatpur on Tuesday. In his absence, his family members beat up Sahinur mercilessly on Tuesday night.
