One to die for killing wife
A court here on Wednesday awarded capital punishment to a man for killing his wife in 2004. The condemned was identified as M Nizamuddin, 50, son of late Haji Kutub Ali of Ajor village in Jakiganj upazila. According to the prosecution, Nizam picked up a quarrel with his wife Kulsuma Begum on January 21, 2004 night over a trifling matter and at one stage stabbed her to death. Later, hearing the hue and cry, neighbours rushed in and caught the killer red-handed and handed him over to police.
