BCL, JCD at Rangpur Govt College clash

Authorities of Rangpur Government College yesterday suspended academic activities for three days following a clash between Bangladesh Chhatra League and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on the campus. The clash followed attack by BCL men on Anwar Hossain, a fourth year student Saturday afternoon on suspicion of being an activist of Islami Chhatra Shibir. The JCD activists brought out a procession on the campus yesterday protesting the attack. They claimed that Anwar Hossain is an activist of JCD College sources said a group of JCD men chased and attacked vice president of college BCL unit Rezaul Islam and BCL activist Nur-un-Nabi and injured them. The college authorities later held a meeting and decided to suspend academic activities for three days.
