2 injured Jubo League men die

Two Awami Jubo League activists, who were injured in a series of factional clashes in Chuadanga, succumbed to their injuries at hospitals in Dhaka and Chuadanga. The deceased were identified as Golam Rasul, 50, and Motaleb, 30. Rasul died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Tuesday afternoon while Motaleb at Chuadanga sadar hospital Wednesday night. At least 20 critically injured people are now taking treatment at different hospitals and some of them are under police custody, according to local people. Local sources said around 60 people were injured, 10 of them critically, as supporters of Abu Taleb, convener of Damurhuda upazila Jubo League, and Abu Ishaq, a member of the same unit and also an incumbent member of Khapra Union Parishad (UP), locked in a series of clashes at Khapra village in Damurhuda upazila over a trifling matter on Monday night and Tuesday.
