Adivasi fair on sea beach
An Indigenous people's fair begins at Laboni Point on Cox's Bazar sea beach yesterday.
Young men and women from 18 tribes from different areas of the country, including Cox's Bazar and three hill districts- Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban- will present their cultural heritage at the fair.
Industries Minister Dilip Barua will inaugurate the fair, jointly organised by Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation and Channel i, at 11:00am.
Parvez Ahmed Chowdhury, manager (public relations) of Parjatan Corporation, sand sculpture exhibition and concert will also be arranged. Channel i will telecast live the cultural function.
