Sec 144 in Joypurhat
Joypurhat district administration yesterday imposed Section 144 in Kalai upazila as two factions of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) arranged their founding anniversary programmes simultaneously at the same place.
OC Abul Kalam Azad said, Section 144 was imposed at 2:30pm in Kalai bus terminal area to avoid any possible clash between the two factions. Section 144 will take effect from 2:30am and continue till 8:00pm on the day.
