Brick fields in Satkhira fined
Two owners have been sued for setting up brick fields illegally on Marichchap River char at Gava village under Satkhira Sadar Police Station.
Mohammad Ali, assistant conservator of forest, Satkhira, filed the cases with Satkhira Sadar Police station yesterday accusing the two for setting up brick fields on the char and using firewood for burning bricks.
The accused are Abdur Rahman and Abdul Mannan of Gava village.
Police said the accused have set up brick fields on char land illegally. They are also using firewood for burning bricks violating the government rules, police added
Contacted, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hashem Khan of Sadar Police Station said they are looking for the accused.
