Lubna Charya calls herself a non-academic artist: painting is her passion, her way of dreaming. She paints her thoughts, her imaginations and the philosophy she has been forging all her life. Her paintings could be distinguished as 'poetic'. Currently, she is working with watercolour, her favourite medium. Her paintings represent village and city landscapes, urban life, village life, flowers and many other things. In this exhibition, she will display some of her recent watercolour paintings. The title of the exhibition is Reflections. From real-life reflections observed on the surface of water or glass or any transparent material, it is quite easy to see that there can be a profound relationship between watercolour and reflections. Watercolour has the flavour as well as the characteristics of reflections and Lubna utilises that to reflect the thoughts she wants to express to her viewers.

A Four-day Asian Fashion Fest '2K16 of branded clothing and fashion products will start on August 22-2016 and will continue until 25 August at Raowa Club Hall, Mohakhali (Near Mohakhali DOHS Society Entry Gate) Dhaka, in the city. Over 36 companies from home and abroad will participate in this exhibition titled 'Asian Fashion Fest-2016. The products include children's wear, clothing (men/women), Readymade Garment (RMG)/woven garments, Salwar kameez, 3 pieces, fashion wears, home textile, knitwear, Kurtas, lawns, premium clothing, shawals, sherwanis, wedding dress, beauty aids, beauty products and equipment, fashion house, gift and novelty items, leather and leather products and other services. The Asian Fashion Fest is targeted towards the coming Eid.
