One of the best ways to express yourself is through what you wear. Your outfit can reflect your mood, style and your personality. So, why limit yourself to mundane, bland dresses when you have the potential to do so much more?

Sciccoso is a store well-known for their creativity. Whether it is clothing or accessories, anything from that shop is bound to get your creative juices flowing and ensure that you stand out from the crowd.  The products from Sciccoso  give a very chic feeling that comes along with its name. The store is located at the heart of Banani and it specialises in showcasing global trends that are bound to steal your heart.

The name itself is of Italian origin and defines posh and classy, which represents the brand. Sciccoso has lived up to that name by bringing latest fashion trends of both quality and design. The inspiration came from the fact that Dhaka seemed to significantly lack trendy street fashion that is both elegant and subtle at the same time. The purpose was to expose people to the trends in international market and bridge the gap in fashion.  

On entering the store, the first thing that caught my eye was the long beautiful ramp to the changing rooms. Customers could choose their pick of clothes, try it and walk on the ramp to get a sense of how it would feel to wear that item. The décor of the ramp is amazing with proper lights and great music to ensure a vibrant mood during shopping. On either side, there were mannequins displaying party gowns and fancy outfits.

It is the store to go to if you wish to create a fashionable wardrobe. They have a separate section dedicated to contents of male attire including shirts, hanks, ties, ascots, and cummerbunds.  However, what stood out most was their wide range of female attires. Whether it's your weekend cocktail party or Sunday morning office meeting, there is something fashionably appropriate for every occasion. 

A little further into the store and I was awed at the versatility of clothes available. Double layered ponchos, long shrugs, suede jackets and culottes – the store has it all. The clothes varied in colours from subtle beige to dark purple depending on the type of clothing and the occasion it is for. The designs are both chic and classy. 

The shop specialises in more than just tops and dresses. Although the crop tops were definitely tempting, the ethnic print palazzo pants and camouflage leggings were not any less so. 

The store prides itself on its variety of scarves available. They were of shaded colours, prints or monochrome. The scarves can be worn with V neck tops or simply wrapped around the head. 

Sciccoso was launched by Azrin Alom. Her dream of creating fashionable modest wear came true through her brand since it was launched on May 30 2014. Azrin mentioned how she is currently working in launching Sciccoso on an international platform through campaigns and has received an amazing feedback. Very recently, her designs were showcased in the Istanbul Modest Fashion Week 2016 – a very proud moment for Sciccoso.

The shop not only emphasises on clothes but also accessories to complete the look. It boasts necklaces, earrings, and tribal bracelets of unique designs to choose from.  Since it is summer, you may also want to indulge in the wide range of shades available including matte pixel glasses.
