In an extravagant show with pomp and colours, TRESemmé Bangladesh has whipped up an all-out fashion exhibition, titled the Spring In Bloom Fashion Exhibition, at Edge Gallery, North Avenue, Dhaka. This exclusive event is a 3-day long affair starting from March 18, Thursday, and ending on March 20, Saturday.

Zeroing in their lens on sustainable fashion, the event has been organized by TRESemmé in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of Bangladesh (FDCB) with a simple enough agenda: to showcase the beauty and importance of slow fashion in the bustling world that moves faster than the blink of an eye.

The show opened on Day 1 with Tina Jabeen, Managing Director of Start Up Bangladesh, an initiative to catalyze a startup revolution in the country, serving as the special guest and inaugurator of the event. At the exhibition, the doors of Edge Gallery opened to make way to deshi décor that stands out with streaks of modernity. The theme kept in line with Bangladesh's roots and attempted to pay an honest nod to it.

The collections showcased, have been designed keeping the modern woman in mind, in a bid to empower her with designer collections and ensembles that conceal a story behind them. Other than just clothes, you can also glide through the gallery to inspect and appreciate slow heritage embroidery from old civilizations Mayan, Central Asian and Borneo, to name a few. Also on display was a limited range of vintage Nakshi Kantha prints, accumulated from the archives of Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Overall, Day 1 and Day 2 of the show saw immense success as it closed with incredible encouragement to designers which will surely prove to be instrumental in their paths going forward.

TRESemmé, the global premium haircare brand, has partnered with FDCB since 2015 to support the local and sustainable fashion industry of Bangladesh through Khadi Future Fabric Show and TRESemmé's flagship event TRESemme Bangladesh Fashion Week.
