Eid must-haves the right accessory for a fashionable Eid

Let's start with some figures. Would it be wrong to say that near about 25 percent of your styling expenses every month should go to accessorising? A bit farfetched, you might think, but is it?

An outfit without the right accessory is rather incomplete; too much accessorising can overshadow the magic of your outfit.

While you are faced to fight the perennial battle between being fashion savvy and committing a fashion crime, this snippet of the local scene may come in handy.

It's all about the bags
Whether you are wearing a shalwar kameez suit or a fusion top, a matching handbag is more of a necessity than an accessory. If you plan on staying out the whole day during Eid, chances are you would need a large handbag as you would have to carry plenty of essentials.

Drawstring handbags or the structured handbag would be your best friend in this struggle to stand out fashionably. With a variety of colours and fabrics to choose from, these are trending right at the top, especially among youngsters.

You could also go for the tote bag, with its professional and yet sassy vibe. A wide range of bags are available at Metro Shopping Mall, starting as low as Tk 800. Even stores such as Celebrations carry a wide range of designs for you to choose from.

If you do not have to carry too many things or are going to a party, you should opt for a clutch or a purse.

Go for bold colours if you are wearing lighter shades in clothes and vice versa. Purses in floral prints or animal prints are quite the rage and are a perfect way to add a bit of an edge to your outfit.

Alternatively, you can opt for purses or small bags decorated with sequins and rhinestones for a classier look. Be sure to check out Urban Truth for its unique collection of stylish purses starting from Tk 2500.

The right accessory

Foot loose
It is essential to take comfort into account while buying shoes. That five-inch high heel will not contribute to your style quotient if your feet are in excruciating pain, and making you walk funny. If it is raining on Eid day, which it might, opt for shoes that are lightweight and waterproof. There are plenty of such designs in vibrant colours that you can find in shops like Khazana.

This Eid, the classic black or beige pump is back and it is a perfect alternative for those who do not enjoy wearing high heels. If you are a stiletto-lover, this is the perfect time for you to bring out your gorgeous stilettos, especially for evening parties. Not only will they make you look slimmer, it will also let you exude confidence.

You can find black stilettoes with neon designs or maroon velvet ones with rhinestones in shops like Celebration and Moochie Apex, with their huge exclusive collection of high-heels and stilettos.

The right accessory

A material world
In this heat, it's better to use jewellery to highlight one aspect of your outfit instead of wearing plenty of tiny pieces that are hardly noticeable. For example, if want to draw attention to your newly manicured nails, wear a bold metal bracelet, but then, do not opt for heavy earrings and a heavy necklace at the same time, unless you want to feel stuffy and overdone!

Alternatively, you can opt for larger earrings, especially if you are wearing traditional clothing, and then finish up your look with a thin metal bracelet.

If you are wearing Western clothing and prefer light accessorising, you could just go for a pendant and then add a few bangles or bead bracelets to one of your wrists.
