Bombs going off in all directions, buses burning, parents caught in the middle rushing to shelter children on way back from school, and of course, the frequent date changes of the SSC exams - the last couple of months were disastrous for the Secondary School Certificate examinees.

It has been 44 years since we achieved our hard won independence and the meaning of this word “independence,” has changed for us over the past decades.

This year on March 22nd, let's remember that there are millions of people in Bangladesh who alone have almost zero access to clean water.
