Relaxing of restrictions: Cabinet says public must strictly maintain health safety rules

The Cabinet Division today asked people to strictly maintain health safety guidelines during the eight-day relaxation of restrictions.

The Press Information Department (PID) issued a handout in this regard today.

Although all restrictions have been relaxed from midnight today to 6:00am on July 23, people will have to remain cautious and strictly maintain health safety guidelines, including wearing of face masks, during this period.

People will abstain from going to tourist spots, resorts, community centres and recreation venues.  

Social gatherings (post-wedding ceremony, birthdays and picnic parties), political and religious gatherings will have to be avoided during the time.

The Cabinet Division has given the instructions through a letter today, added the PID handout.
