Prof Emeritus Abdul Matin passes away

Professor Emeritus Dr Abdul Matin of Dhaka University died from Covid-19 yesterday.

He was 87.

Dr Matin breathed his last around 6am while undergoing treatment at Shin-Shin Japan Hospital in Dhaka, according to a press release of DU public relations office.

He left behind his wife, a retired professor of Jahangirnagar University, two children and numerous well-wishers to mourn his death.

Dr Matin will be buried at his village home in Bhaluka, Mymensingh.

DU Vice Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman expressed deep shock at the death.
