‘Prioritise Covid-19 vaccine for local representatives’

The Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development has requested the Health Ministry to prioritise Covid-19 vaccines for local government representatives.

The Local Government Division has sent a letter to the Health Ministry secretary today.

The letter was signed by the LGRD Ministry's Deputy Secretary AKM Mizanur Rahman.

In the letter, it is mentioned that there are more than 67,000 local representatives who are working under Covid-19 preventive measures in city corporations, municipalities and union, upazila, zila parishads across the country.

Many of them are yet to take vaccine, the letter said.
