25 more die in RMCH’s Covid unit in 24 hours; positivity rate in Rajshahi 34.65%
Twenty-five more people – 15 male and 10 female -- died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital's (RMCH) Covid unit in 24 hours till this morning.
Of the deceased, seven were Covid-19 positive and the rests had symptoms, our Rajshahi staff correspondent reports quoting RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani.
Twelve of the deceased were from Rajshahi, three each from Chapainawabganj, Natore and Pabna, two Naogaon and one each from Kushtia and Jashore, reports our correspondent.
A total of 282 samples were tested in RMCH's RT-PCR Lab (till 8am today) and 97 of them tested Covid-19 positive while 338 were tested at Rajshahi Medical College lab and 85 of them were positive.
The rate of positivity was 34.65 percent in Rajshahi.
During the period, 72 new patients were admitted at RMCH's isolation ward and 54 left hospital after recovery.
With them, in total 500 patients are now undergoing treatment at the Covid unit of the hospital.
