13 die of Covid-19, symptoms in Barishal division in 24 hours

Seven people died of Covid-19 and 4 with Covid-like symptoms in Barishal division in 24 hours (till 8am today).

During this period, samples of 1,535 people were tested and 600 of them were found positive for the virus. Positivity rate stands at 39.09 percent, our correspondent reports, quoting Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital Director, Dr HM Saiful Islam.

In Barishal division, a total of 600 new cases were recorded during this period. Of which, 197 were recorded in Barishal district, 69 in Patuakhali, 61 in Bhola, 96 in Pirojpur, 70 in Barguna, and 107 in Jhalokathi, according to the Divisional Health office

The total number of cases in the division stands at 25,887 and 16,879 of them have recovered so far, said the director, adding that 384 people died of Covid in the division so far.
