13 die of Covid-19 and symptoms in Barishal division in 24 hours

Four people died of Covid-19 and rest with Covid-like symptoms in Barishal division in 24 hours till this morning.

During this period, samples of 321 people were tested and 156 of them were found positive for the virus. Positivity rate stands at 48.60 percent, our correspondent reports, quoting Divisional Health Director, Dr Basudeb Kumar Das.

Dr Das said, nine people died with Covid-like symptoms at the isolation ward and coronavirus unit of Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital. Meanwhile, four Covid-19 positive patients died in other districts under the division, he added.

The total number of cases in the division stands at 25,287 and 16,750 of them have recovered so far, said the director, adding that 377 people died of Covid in the division so far.
