Firefox App Challenge begins

On 22nd October 'Firefox App Challenge' competition was inaugurated at a press release at the Bissho Shahitto Kendro. For the first time such a competition of application developers will be organized by Grameenphone, Mozilla and MCC Ltd. Present at the occasion was Grameenphone's External Communications Deputy Director Mr. Talat Kamal and MCC's Deputy Director Mr. Zaki Haider. Grameenphone, MCC Ltd. and Firefox jointly held the 'Firefox App Challenge' starting from 22nd October in Dhaka. The total allocated prize money for this competition is $27,500 or about Tk. 22 lakhs. Mr. Kamal said, “The Firefox App Challenge Contest can bring about necessary content for the low income earners of the country.”
