Fuel supply in divisional cities raised amid public demand
The government has raised the supply of fuel in divisional cities by 10 percent, considering public demand amid the ongoing global crisis.
“Instead of reducing the supply of fuel (octane and petrol) in divisional cities by 25 percent from the average sales, it will now be reduced to 15 percent, and fuel will be supplied to filling stations according to the allocation chart,” said a press release signed by Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) Secretary Shahina Sultana.
Considering public demand across the country amid the ongoing global crisis, the BPC has issued directives regarding the supply and lifting of fuel oil to maintain adequate fuel supply, it added.
Earlier, the supply was cut by 25 percent.
Depot superintendents, sales officials, and dealers or agents of the corporation’s marketing companies have been requested to take necessary steps to ensure the proper supply of the reduced allocation, the release said.
