Actress Nidra Neha has completed shooting for a new film titled “Kalo Biral”.

Earlier, Neha was set to star in Raihan Rafi’s film “Taandob” and had shared the news with the media herself. However, after the information surfaced ahead of an official announcement, the actress was dropped from the project. Following her removal, Neha expressed her frustration on social media, speaking out about syndication and various irregularities within the industry, and stated that her desire to build an acting career had faded.

She later clarified that she was not quitting acting, but would be more selective about future projects. The latest update is that the actress has recently wrapped up shooting for “Kalo Biral”.

Set in the backdrop of the 1980s, the film centres on a story of love, romance and emotion. The screenplay has been written and the film directed by Sohrab Hossain Ullash. Alongside Nidra Neha, the cast includes Arifin Jilani, Magfurul Islam Bidyut, Rahim, among others.

Following the completion of shooting, the cast was introduced at a press conference held recently in Naogaon. Speaking at the event, director Sohrab Hossain Ullash said, “Black does not always signify something ominous. Often, light emerges from darkness, giving rise to new possibilities. This idea will be reflected in ‘Kalo Biral’.”

Nidra Neha said the film piqued her interest as soon as she heard its title. “After reading the script, it felt like it could turn out to be a remarkable work. The title ‘Kalo Biral’ might create a negative impression for some, but there is no notion of black or white here—there is a deeper message. In the film, I will be seen in the role of a character named Debi,” she said.

The director added that the film is currently in the editing stage and will be released in theatres later this year. The release date will be officially announced once all post-production work is completed.
