A Bangladeshi television drama has crossed borders, gaining attention among Pakistani viewers alongside its growing popularity at home. Titled “Eta Amaderi Golpo” (This Is Our Story), the series was created with inspiration from the popular Pakistani drama “Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum” and has sparked widespread discussion since its release.

Since its premiere, each episode of “Eta Amaderi Golpo” has crossed millions of views on YouTube within days. Beyond Bangladesh, the series has also found an audience in Pakistan, where viewers have been leaving enthusiastic comments such as “Love from Pakistan” and referencing the drama that inspired it.

Interestingly, the series has even caught the attention of Pakistani star Fahad Mustafa, who played a key role in “Kabhi main Kabhi Tum” opposite Hania Aamir. Recently, Fahad shared a collage reel comparing scenes from both dramas on his Instagram story, further fuelling interest among fans.

In the Bangladeshi adaptation, Fahad Mustafa’s character is portrayed by Khairul Basar, while Keya Payel plays the counterpart inspired by Hania Aamir’s role. The on-screen pairing of Basar and Payel has already drawn strong attention from viewers, with many praising their chemistry.

Some viewers believe the cross-border response signals early international recognition for the drama, calling it a positive milestone for Bangladeshi television dramas. As the series progresses, its audience continues to grow steadily across YouTube and other digital platforms.

Directed by Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz, the series airs every Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30pm on Channel i, with episodes also released on the CINEMAWALA YouTube channel on Wednesdays and Thursdays at noon.

The ensemble cast includes Irfan Sajjad, Keya Payel, Khairul Basar, Sunerah Binte Kamal, Intekhab Dinar, Deepa Khandakar, Monira Mithu, Nader Chowdhury, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, Dicon Noor and Mahmudul Islam Mithu.
